An Important Update About Our Relationship with Delta Dental

To our valued patients,

At Family Dentistry of Texoma, our top priority has always been to provide you with the best possible dental care in a compassionate and patient-centered environment. We want to share an important update regarding our relationship with Delta Dental. After much thought and consideration, we have made the decision to no longer participate as an in-network provider with Delta Dental.

This decision was not made lightly, and we want to take the time to explain why this change is necessary and how it will ultimately benefit your dental health.

Why We Are Leaving Delta Dental’s Network

Over the years, we have become increasingly frustrated with the limitations imposed by Delta Dental and other insurance companies. These frustrations include:

  1. Compromised Quality of Care: Delta Dental’s fee schedules often fail to reflect the true cost of providing comprehensive, high-quality dental care. This has made it challenging to invest in the latest technology, materials, and continuing education that allow us to deliver the best possible care.
  2. Treatment Limitations: Insurance companies often dictate the types of treatments they will cover, regardless of what is in the best interest of your health. This can lead to unnecessary delays, denied claims, and compromises in your care.
  3. Administrative Hurdles: The administrative burden placed on our team by Delta Dental has grown significantly. This takes valuable time and resources away from what truly matters: you, our patients.

Ultimately, we want to focus on providing the personalized, high-quality care you deserve—not on satisfying the arbitrary policies of an insurance company.

How This Change Benefits Your Dental Care

By stepping out of Delta Dental’s network, we are able to put your dental health first. Here’s what you can expect as a result of this change:

How Delta Dental’s Policy Affects You

Delta Dental does not allow the assignment of benefits to out-of-network providers. This means that when you receive dental care at our practice, Delta Dental will send reimbursement checks directly to you after your claim has been processed.

We understand that this policy may feel inconvenient, so we have created options to make this process as smooth as possible:

Payment Options for Out-of-Network Delta Dental Patients

  1. 5% Courtesy for Payment in Full at Time of Service
If you choose to pay in full at the time of your appointment, we are happy to offer a 5% courtesy discount as a way of saying thank you for your trust and understanding.
  2. Pay Insurance Portion After Receiving Your Check
If you prefer, you can wait to pay the insurance portion of your treatment until you receive your reimbursement check from Delta Dental. In this case, we will securely hold a credit card on file and process the insurance portion of your balance once you receive your check.

What This Means for You

Although we will no longer be an in-network provider with Delta Dental, you can still use your dental insurance benefits at our practice. Here’s what you can expect:

Your Continued Trust Means Everything

We want to thank you for trusting us with your dental health. This change reflects my commitment to providing you with the best possible care—care that is not dictated by the limitations of an insurance company. I truly believe that this change will allow us to build an even stronger relationship based on trust, transparency, and a shared commitment to your health.

If you have any questions or concerns about this change, please don’t hesitate to reach out to our office. Our team is here to help you navigate this transition and ensure that your dental care remains seamless and stress-free.

Thank you for your understanding and support. We look forward to continuing to serve you and your family with the exceptional care you deserve.
